Shruti Marathe made her film debut in 2008 with the Marathi film “Sanai Choughade,” where she portrayed the character Ashwini. The following year, she ventured into Tamil cinema with “Indira Vizha,” where she was credited as Hema Malini. In the same year, she appeared in “Naan Avanillai 2” and “Asa Mi Tasa Mi” in Marathi.
In 2010, Marathe starred in the Tamil film “Guru Sishyan” and continued her journey in Marathi cinema with “Teecha Baap Tyacha Baap.” In 2012, she made a special appearance in the Tamil film “Aravaan” and starred in the Marathi film “Satya, Savitree Ani Satyawan.”
Marathe gained recognition for her notable roles as Parvtibai Peshwe in “Rama Madhav” (2014) and Gita in “Budhia Singh – Born to Run” (2016), where critics praised her ability to portray complex emotions with finesse.
