Mawra Hocane began her career in theater before transitioning to become a VJ at ARY Musik. She made her mark in Pakistani television with serial dramas such as Aahista Aahista, Ik Tamanna Lahasil Si, and Nikhar Gaye Gulab Sare.
Her Hindi film debut was in the romantic tragedy Sanam Teri Kasam alongside Harshvardhan Rane, where she played a South Indian librarian named Saru. Her performance was well-received, showcasing her ability to adapt to diverse roles.
In 2018, Hocane made her Pakistani film debut with the hit romantic comedy Jawani Phir Nahi Ani 2, which became the second-highest-grossing Pakistani film worldwide. Her role as a spoilt heiress earned her acclaim from both audiences and critics.
