Born in Tenali, Andhra Pradesh, Sobhita Dhulipala grew up in Visakhapatnam. Her father Venugopal Rao was a Merchant Navy engineer, and her mother Santha Kamakshi was a primary school teacher. At the age of sixteen, she moved to Mumbai and later attended H.R. College of Commerce and Economics, studying corporate law. A trained classical dancer in Kuchipudi and Bharatanatyam, she was crowned Navy Queen in 2010.
Dhulipala gained recognition as Femina Miss India Earth 2013 and represented India at Miss Earth 2013. She appeared in the Kingfisher Calendar 2014 before transitioning to acting. Her role in Raman Raghav 2.0 earned her critical acclaim, and she was subsequently signed for a three-film deal with Phantom Films.
