Career
Ragini Dwivedi began her acting career in 2009 with the Kannada film Veera Madakari, a remake of the Telugu movie Vikramarkudu. Her performance opposite Sudeep was well-received, and the film was a major hit. She also appeared in Gokula the same year. In 2010, she had roles in five films, including her Malayalam debut, Kandhahar.
Dwivedi’s breakthrough came in 2011 with Kempegowda, another film with Sudeep, earning her a nomination for Best Female Leading Actress at the South Filmfare Awards. She also featured in Kalla Malla Sulla and Kaanchaana, with the song “Thuppa Beku Thuppa” from the former gaining significant popularity.
In 2012, Dwivedi starred alongside prominent male actors in Kannada cinema, including Upendra in Aarakshaka and Shivarajkumar in Shiva. Her performance in Shiva won her the Best Actress award in the critics’ category.
