Nandita Swetha began her career as a VJ on Udaya Music while still in school. She transitioned to acting with her debut in the 2008 Kannada film “Nanda Loves Nanditha,” where she played a character named Nandita, later adopting it as her screen name.
Her first Tamil film, “Attakathi,” directed by Pa. Ranjith, was released in 2012 and received appreciation for her performance. Following this, she portrayed an athlete in “Ethir Neechal” (2013) directed by Durai Senthilkumar. She also appeared in the comedy “Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara” (2013) as the character Kumudha.
In 2014, Swetha starred in films like “Mundaasupatti,” “Nalanum Nandhiniyum,” and “Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani.” The following year, she appeared in “Uppu Karuvaadu” and “Puli.” In 2016, her releases included “Anjala” and “Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada,” for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress in Telugu.
