Career

Pre-debut
Nancy first appeared on the scene in 2011 as a contestant on Korea’s Got Talent as part of a hip-hop group called ‘Cutie Pies,’ which reached the semi-finals. During her early years, she made appearances on various TV shows, including Mak Irae Rae Show: Just Do It Expedition, alongside actress Kim Yoo-jung, where they visited the Philippines and Saipan.

2016: Finding Momoland & Debut with MOMOLAND
Nancy participated in Mnet’s survival show Finding Momoland in 2016 and won first place, becoming the youngest member (maknae) of the girl group MOMOLAND. The group officially debuted on November 10, 2016, with their mini-album Welcome to Momoland.

On November 19, 2016, she joined the project girl group Sunny Girls, along with other K-pop idols from GFRIEND, WJSN, OH MY GIRL, and Gugudan, for Inkigayo.

2019–2021: Planned Acting Debut in the Philippines
Nancy was set to debut as an actress in the Filipino series The Soulmate Project, co-starring with Filipino actor James Reid. The series, initially planned for 2020, faced delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the closure of ABS-CBN, and was eventually shelved.

2023: Departure from MLD Entertainment and New Agency
In January 2023, MLD Entertainment announced that all six MOMOLAND members, including Nancy, would leave the agency after deciding not to renew their contracts. In September 2023, Nancy signed with ATOC to continue her career.
