Career
Flora Saini began her acting journey in the Telugu film industry with her debut in the movie Prema Kosam in 1999. Initially known as Asha Saini, she later changed her screen name to Mayuri, following the advice of an astrologer, before eventually reverting to her original name.
Over the next few years, she played supporting roles in numerous Telugu films, including the successful Narasimha Naidu in 2002, which earned her the nickname “Lux Papa.”
In 2002, Flora ventured into Hindi cinema with the film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata and later appeared in Love in Nepal in 2004, where she starred alongside popular playback singer Sonu Nigam. She also appeared in several Kannada-language films like Giri and Nammannna.
In March 2008, Flora faced legal trouble when she was arrested in Chennai for allegedly possessing forged visa documents, leading to a brief ban from the Tamil film industry. However, she was later cleared of the charges, and the ban was lifted.
In 2010, Flora made headlines when three of her films, Broker (Telugu), Vismaya Pramaya, and Vah Re Vah (both Kannada), were released on the same day, earning her a mention in the Limca Book of Records for the most film releases on a single day. The same year, she was honored with the Uttarakhand Ratna Award.
In 2015, Flora appeared in the film MSG: The Messenger and portrayed the role of Muskan. She also appeared in various web series, including Gandii Baat and Mayanagari-City of Dreams.
In October 2019, she made her debut in Bengali web series with Dupur Thakurpo, where she portrayed the iconic role of Phulwa boudi. Additionally, Flora was chosen as the face of the short video app Firework while being managed by Celeb Connex.
