Angira Dhar began her career in TV production with Channel V and also worked as an assistant film director. During her stint at Channel V, she hosted the show “Beg Borrow Steal” on Bindass. In 2013, she made her Bollywood debut in the film “Ek Bura Aadmi” opposite Arunoday Singh.
Her breakthrough came in 2015 when she portrayed a feisty and independent character in Y-Films’s web series “Bang Baaja Baarat” alongside Ali Fazal. This role garnered praise, with critics acknowledging Dhar’s impressive performance. The second season of the show premiered in September 2016.
In 2018, Dhar played a bank employee in the film “Love per Square Foot” opposite Vicky Kaushal. This movie marked the first Bollywood film to release directly on a streaming platform. Her performance received positive reviews, with critics commending her portrayal.
