Abhay Verma was born and raised in Panipat, Haryana. He completed his schooling at St. Mary’s Convent School. Although initially pursuing Science, he faced multiple setbacks and eventually switched to a BBA program, which he also found unsatisfactory. Determined to follow his passion for acting, he moved to Mumbai with his parents. Abhay’s brother, Abhishek Verma, is also an actor, known for his role in Yeh Hai Mohabbatein.
Career
Abhay Verma began his career with small roles in series like Marzi and Little Things, gaining attention for his work in television commercials. His early experiences on sets, including being a junior artist in Super 30, helped him understand the filmmaking process.
His big break came with the role of Kalyan in The Family Man 2 (2021), where he portrayed a character involved with terrorists. In 2023, Verma made his film debut in Safed, where he played a transgender character, earning critical acclaim.
In 2024, he starred in the horror comedy Munjya, marking his breakthrough in Hindi cinema. The film was a commercial success and became the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year.
