Early Life
Sharvari Wagh was born into a Marathi family in 1996. Her parents, Shailesh Wagh and Namrata Wagh, have professional backgrounds in construction and architecture, respectively. She attended The Dadar Parsee Youths Assembly High School and later pursued a BSc degree at Ruparel College in Mumbai. Her maternal grandfather is Manohar Joshi, a former Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
Career
Sharvari Wagh began her career as an assistant director, contributing to notable films like Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, Bajirao Mastani, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety. She started auditioning for lead roles in 2014 and made her acting debut in 2020 with the Amazon Prime series The Forgotten Army – Azaadi Ke Liye, where she starred opposite Sunny Kaushal.
Wagh made her Bollywood debut with Bunty Aur Babli 2 in 2021, sharing screen space with Rani Mukerji, Saif Ali Khan, and Siddhant Chaturvedi. Her performance earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and the IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year – Female. Critics, including Hindustan Times, praised her confident portrayal and screen presence.
