Sonali Raut began her career in 2010 with a modeling assignment for the Kingfisher Calendar, which is renowned for featuring models in swimsuits. Her modeling career gained momentum as she became the face of various popular brands, including MAC Cosmetics, PC Chandra Jewellers, Limca, Westside, and Pantaloons. She also appeared in numerous television campaigns, notably for Idea with Abhishek Bachchan, Siyaram with Neil Nitin Mukesh, Seematti Sarees, and iBall.

In 2011, Raut made headlines with a photoshoot alongside actor Ranveer Singh for Maxim magazine. Her transition to acting was marked by her role in the Bollywood film The Xposé (2014), where she starred alongside Himesh Reshammiya and Yo Yo Honey Singh as a murdered movie star, receiving acclaim for her glamorous performance.
